Last Friday at the Space Coast Convention Center, Housing for Homeless (HfH Supportive Housing) hosted a fantastic Community Breakfast, and what a morning it was! With over 100 attendees, the energy in the room was buzzing with community spirit and a shared commitment to supporting those experiencing homelessness in Brevard County.

Building Connections Over Breakfast

From 8:30 AM, guests arrived and enjoyed a delicious breakfast spread while networking with fellow community members and HfH supporters. This warm and welcoming atmosphere laid the groundwork for the informative presentations and updates that followed.

Celebrating Achievements and Looking Forward

HfH’s Executive Director, Rob Cramp, kicked off the formal program by offering his welcome and gratitude to everyone present. Introductions and recognitions followed, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of key partners like the Brevard Homeless Coalition. Linda Graham, Assistant Director of DHHS, took the stage to share details about the upcoming Affordable Housing Summit, a crucial initiative aimed at increasing access to affordable housing in our community.

Exciting Updates Orchid Lake

Next, Dr. Miriam Moore provided exciting updates and video drone footage about the highly anticipated Orchid Lake Apartments, a development offering supportive housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The presentation generated a lot of excitement as the community eagerly awaits the ribbon-cutting ceremony, coming soon!

Moments of Joy with Raffle Prizes

Building anticipation, Joy Wilkinson announced the raffle prize winners, adding a touch of fun and excitement to the morning.

Closing Remarks and Continued Commitment

As the Community Breakfast concluded at 10:30 AM, a sense of hope and optimism filled the room. The event served as a powerful reminder of the collective impact we can achieve when we join forces to address homelessness in Brevard County not just for veterans but for all.
